HELO, AJA’s first standalone streaming product, is an H.264 streaming and recording device with both 3G-SDI and HDMI inputs and outputs, the power to handle up to 1080p60 recording formats, and a simple web-based UI for easy configuration. It allows users to stream video signals directly to web content delivery networks (CDNs) while simultaneously recording either to an SD card, USB drives or network-based storage, with dedicated record and stream buttons for easy operation. HELO’s small and robust form factor is designed to travel well, fit wherever needed and deliver continuously. HELO will be available soon for an MSRP of $1,295. 


MXR-200IP Streamer

FOR-A’s new Video-Over-IP Streamer delivers IP streaming with multiple-codec support for file-based workflows, saving the input data without recompression as MXF files. The 1 RU MXR-200IP device offers live playback and setting configuration in an intuitive browser that lets users save MXF files as they watch live playback of IP streams, copy to EditShare or other network storage during playback and select FEC (SMPTE 2022-1) settings. The solution has two encoder/decoder channels, and supports H.264 High 422 Intra at 100 Mb/s, while auto-correcting any dropped packets through FEC redundancy following SMPTE 2022-1/2. 


Maevex 2

Maevex 2 is a new line of encoders and decoders designed for capture and real-time encoding, streaming, transcoding and recording. The Maevex 2 range of PCIe cards, standalone appliances and developer tools provides multichannel HD, 4K and 8K streaming. The line ranges from small, easy-to-use appliances to a 5 RU solution that packs up to 64 channels of 4K capture, real-time encoding and streaming. Unlike proprietary video-over-IP products that lock you into single vendor, Maevex 2 is designed for maximum interoperability with third-party hardware and software.

Talon G1 Encoder and Decoder Devices

The Osprey Talon G1 hardware-based streaming contribution encoder ingests video from multiple formats, encodes it to H.264 and delivers it over IP. Capable of ingesting video via 3G/HD-SDI, HDMI or analog composite inputs, the Talon G1 can encode up to three streams simultaneously and also save to a TS file, with frame alignment across all streams for multiple bit rate streaming. The encoder’s counterpart is the Osprey Talon G1 H.264 decoder, which can take in a combination of up to four streams: RTP or UDP streams and/or TS files. From there, the unit decodes the streams and displays them simultaneously via HDMI at resolutions up to 1080p60. 


AQORD *HEVC Encoders

Digigram recently announced HEVC/H.265-enabled versions of its AQORD video encoder designed to enable point-to-point broadcast contribution of UHD 4K video or simultaneous HD channels, as well as broadcast and IPTV distribution of 4K content to the home. Housed in compact 1 RU chassis, the AQORD *HEVC-4K Ultra HD encoder and AQORD *HEVC-xHD multi-HD encoder leverage HEVC/H.265 on hardware-based technology to enable cost-effective contribution of the high-resolution (up to 4Kp60, 4:2:2, 10-bit, 120 Mb/s) video increasingly used for premium-quality live event production. With HEVC/H.265 encoding or local recording capabilities, AQORD *HEVC offers 24/7 reliability supported by dual streaming capabilities, forward error correction (FEC) and a redundant power supply. 


DOZER Packet Recovery Technology

DVEO’s DOZER Selective Repeat ARQ (Automatic Repeat Request) technology automatically fixes UDP packet loss. It achieves high quality, low latency, and error-free real-time video transport over any type of IP network including wireless and public internet. The newly patented algorithm alleviates video freezes, jitter and noise over long distance IP transmissions. The DOZER technology is commercially available in three versions: DOZERbox IP/IP + AES128, a compact standalone product; DOZER Racks IP/IP, a 1 RU system; and DOZER ARQ: LIC, a software license for integration in third‐party products, and an available option in DVEO’s encoders/transcoders, media servers and receivers.
